A
Letter From The School Board President
11/16/08
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone has had a great start to the
school year. There have been some very exciting things happening so
far this year.
The Oktoberfest and Raffle were a huge success.
It was great seeing how many people supported our school by attending
and buying and selling raffle tickets. Thank you!
Our wrapping paper and candy sale is all wrapped
up with the orders expected to arrive the first week of December.
Thank you to all who placed these orders and helped raise around
$3,000 for our school. We will also be doing a box candy sale in the
future. If your employer allows you to put boxes out to sell candy
bars it is a great way to raise money for St. Peter.
The school is in the process of purchasing and
installing computer software that will allow us to view our
children’s grades on line. We look forward to providing this service
to all of us who are so active in our children’s education.
The Silent Auction is right around the corner and
we are looking for volunteers to help chair and work on this event.
Please contact Mrs. McCain if you are interested. Remember that if you
are on a committee you will receive your fair share hours.
We are always looking for parents to join the
school board. I truly feel that being a part of this has helped me to
see all sides of running St. Peter and what it takes to keep it going.
If you are interested in joining please feel free to contact me.
Fund raising is a very important part of St.
Peter School. The School Board tries to do everything it can to keep
tuition costs down but unfortunately in order to accomplish this,
everyone must pitch in to help raise extra funds to cover the
remaining costs of educating our children. Tuition only covers a
portion of this cost so the school does multiple fund raisers
throughout the year in order to make up the difference. Please
remember that St. Peter is our school and if we make our goal it is
our children we are supporting. Lets all work together to make St.
Peter the great Catholic school we all want for our children.
If you have any ideas on marketing, fund raising
or any thing else to support our school and help it to grow please
feel free to contact me.
On behalf of the entire school board, I want to
thank everyone for their help and dedication to providing our children
with a good quality catholic education.
Sincerely,
Jane Delaney
